FORTH Foundation for research and technologies Hellas, Greece

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) is one of the seven institutes constituting the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH). ICS has a full-time staff of 100 persons, about 15 visiting researchers and more than 120 graduate and undergraduate students. ICS is active in a number of areas, including, but not limited to, robotics, computational vision, perception, sensor technologies, VLSI design, embedded systems, networks and telecommunications, e-Health, user interfaces, integration of knowledge and databases, and decision support systems. It is actively promoting developed applications in industry and other organizations. Furthermore, ICS-FORTH has established FORTHNET S.A., which is historically the first and, today, the largest and most advanced Internet service provider in Greece, with a multi-protocol computer network that provides access to advanced services.
